The Taniwha programme is taking applications for the November and December programme.

As there is no JMC Hockey in term 4 the Taniwha programme can make some changes and utilise Fridays rather than Sundays. We are trialling the following changes,
Age groups can be confusing as they don’t fit well into school years so we will be running this programme in school years, 7,8 and 9,10,11 (The participants 2022 school year not next years)
We know times are hard so the price has reduced from $200 to $100 PP
Weekends are important so we have moved to Friday evenings 4pm to 6pm
We want more participants so we can play Hockey, participants will learn skills one week, play a game the next week integrating the new skills into their play. Train, play, train concept. This allows the individual development and game-based learning for example pressing, leading, marking.
Teams will have a dedicated coach for the 6 weeks
Goalies are included, and we encourage older goalies up to year 13 to sign up
Programmes Details
6-week programme and it is encouraged that participants be available to attend each week.
Starting Friday November 4th, last session Friday 9th December
4.00pm to 6pm
Sessions will be run for
2022 school year 7 & 8
2022 School year 9, 10, & 11
2022 school year years, 7,8,9,10,11,12, and 13 goalies
If we get enough interest teams will split into boys and girls
