Hockey Northland are looking for a Participation Officer to drive the promotion of Hockey in schools, our Northland community and grow participation numbers with Tamariki and Rangatahi in particular.
This position is Whangarei based with some travel around our beautiful Northland region.
The Participation Officer position is a 40 hour role Monday to Friday, with some after hours and weekend work as required
What are we looking for in an applicant?
Skills Required:
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral
· Must be punctual – with excellent time management
· Initiative and enthusiasm.
· The ability to work in a team as well as independently.
· Interest in Hockey.
· Must be able to interact and relate with children of all ages.
· Self- motivated
Qualifications/Experience:
· Previous coaching experience would be an advantage.
· Relevant hockey knowledge.
· A current driver’s licence.
· Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and google applications
· Ability to effectively manage social media and Web site information is an advantage
