Dear Members of the Hockey Northland Community, We regretfully announce the resignation of Mr. Grant McLeod from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hockey Northland. Grant has served in this role with dedication and commitment, and his departure will be effective on April 11, 2024. Grant’s leadership and unwavering dedication have played a pivotal role in the growth and success of Hockey Northland. Under his guidance, the organization has evolved significantly, expanding from a challenging financial position to a robust and stable entity with seven full-time staff members and a strong foundation. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Grant for his tireless efforts and contributions to Hockey Northland over the years. His passion for the sport and his tireless work ethic have left an indelible mark on our community. During this transitional period, Grant has generously offered his assistance in the selection process for a new CEO and in facilitating a smooth transition to ensure the continued success of Hockey Northland. We, the Board and staff of Hockey Northland, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Grant for his remarkable service and dedication to our organization. We wish him all the best in his retirement and his future endeavours, especially in his pursuit of coaching opportunities for the youth of Kaipara. In the coming months, we will commence the search for a suitable successor to lead Hockey Northland into its next chapter. We remain committed to our mission of promoting and developing hockey in our region, and we are confident that, with your support, we will continue to achieve success.
