Position Overview:

NHA is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will play a crucial role in shaping the future of hockey in the Northland region, ensuring the successful execution of NHA's mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

•           Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the Board.

•           Oversee financial management, including budgeting and grant funding.

•           Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including clubs, Hockey NZ, sponsors, and local authorities.

•           Lead and manage a dedicated team, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and performance.

•           Drive the growth and development of community hockey initiatives.

•           Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and health & safety standards.

Qualifications:

•           Proven leadership experience in a similar role.

•           Strong financial acumen.

•           Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

•           Passion for and understanding of the hockey community.

•           Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
